Before Pete Beckmeyer replaced my driveway lights with LED fixtures, I had had several problems with keeping them working. Now, I am extremely pleased not only with his fine workmanship, but also with the security that I feel when I return late at night and the assurance of lifetime guarantee of the fixtures themselves. Not only is Peter competent, reliable and very accommodating, but he also went the extra mile in replacing my malfunctioning solar lights with new ones that I had bought. How does the night time accent lighting add value to the outdoor living spaces you design?
It is almost everything. Most people think that the biggest value they have in their outdoor spaces is when they are actually in it and using it. This is true, but, there are many hours every day when we are inside.
If you want to make your house feel larger and more interesting, then aside from actually having a well-designed outdoors to look out on, is to be able to see it when it is dark outside. Most of us feel that our 'home space' ends at the walls, but having a beautiful landscape, beautifully lit, expands our home outward.
But even with all of the above in mind, key to successfully and artfully lighting your property and architecture, is to hire a good lighting consultant who not only has excellent lighting fixtures but is also a thoughtful lighting designer. There are many lighting consultants around who will rush to say they will do a 'custom' lighting design but who will really just rush to 'get 'r done', not taking the time to really design your lighting to suit your particular needs and desires.
A good lighting consultant will take the time to really tailor the lighting fixtures and effects to your particular project and then install it that way!
